My quilt is the family tree and the quilting represents all the families we all belong to - close family and moving out to the wider community. For the family tree, I tried out drawing with crayons. Traced the tree onto the fabric and then outlined it with gel pens and then coloured in with crayons. Ironed the picture and that set the colour - it took a few ironings and then colourings as the iron faded the crayon colour. It was a bit different and I will try it again on something else.
I love your quilt, so simple, so easy on the eye, but it says so much! You girls know so many more techniques than me, I'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteGoogle is the answer. Try the 12 x 12 quilts and that will open your eyes!!!!!!
